Great piece! I think almost everybody can agree that a multitude of followers mean nothing if they aren’t interactive. It’s why, like you mentioned, the “follow to unfollow” method is ultimately a bad idea — and a huge pet peeve of mine.

I also really applaud your courage to say you’re a college student (because I’m actually one too.) I’ve always been a little afraid to say I’m in college for fear that people might disregard my opinion as, “Oh, she’s young and inexperienced.” Either way, hearing somebody else say it definitely helps alleviates my own fear.
