Does ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Live Up To The Hype?
I wouldn’t consider myself a die-hard Marvel fan.
I can’t tell you what happened in the comics, and I’m pretty sure I’ve slept through or skipped most of the Spiderman movies (as if anybody can keep track of those).
That being said, I’ve managed to watch all the Avengers movies, and tune in for the Captain America and Thor films. So, even if I can’t call myself a Marvel fanatic, I enjoy Marvel movies enough to pay $12 to see one.
Like most people, the explosive ending of Infinity War left me on the edge of my seat, anxiously waiting for the sequel to come out. That waiting has paid off, too — so far, Endgame has reeled in about $2 billion, and is well on its way to becoming the biggest box-office sensation ever.
With almost every film blog and pop culture website obsessing over the blockbuster hit, it’s safe to say this movie has generated a lot of hype — but does it actually live up to the buzz?
Well, as someone who’s seen Endgame twice now (which is six hours that I’ve spent in a packed theater, surrounded by popcorn and crying babies), I’ve got some thoughts to share.
